Chris Gronkowski recently spoke to the Buffalo News about the prospects of facing his younger brother Rob this weekend in Foxboro when the Broncos come to town. Think Peyton Manning vs.Tom Brady is the only story of note?
It’ll be the first time these two Gronks have squared off since being in the NFL. Last season, when the Pats hosted Indianapolis, which was where Chris was last season, he was hurt and didn’t play. By the sound of it, the Broncos fullback was looking forward to this clash. Even though Chris also plays on offense, he figures he’ll still get out across from Rob on special teams.
”We haven’t played against each other yet. Last year, I would have played against him, but I got hurt. It’s going to be crazy when we finally step on the field together,” Chris Gronkowski told Buffalo News reporter Tim Graham. ”I might get a chance to go against him on kickoff. We always talk about how I’m going to drill him. He says he’s going to lay me out. What’s really going to happen is we’re probably not even going to have the chance to block each other. But I’ll still try to light him up if I get a chance.”
Wonder what Rob will have to say about that?
