The Gronkowski family — and the city of Buffalo (Home of the Gronks) — have gotten great news as the Bills announced that Glenn Gronkowski is officially on the team roster for the 2016 season.
Glenn, a.k.a. Goose, made a strong impression on Thursday night in the final preseason game against the Detroit Lions, with coach Rex Ryan telling reporters at halftime “it might be hard to keep Gronkowski off the team” when final roster cuts are made this weekend, NBCSports reported.
After James Wilder Jr. went down with a concussion, the team relied on the rookie fullback from Kansas State — repeatedly giving him the ball. In the first half, he got four carries and gained 19 yards — and won rave reviews from Rex.
“That’s about the only bright spot,” Ryan said about Glenn’s performance after the Bills lost 31-0.
Next up, Glenn and the Bills will face the Ravens opening day — and then big brother Rob and the Pats Week 4 in Foxboro.
It’s gonna be a helluva season for this family!
