It’s the biggest weekend of the year in Boston (aside from the Patriots winning the Super Bowl, again) with the 121st Boston Marathon on Monday.
There’s a reason why it is called Patriots’ Day as the city unites, kicks back and cheers on both the runners, so what better reason for a holiday??? Plus you’ve got the Sox, Celtics and Bruins all playing!
Once again, Gronk Nation has a team of runners taking on the grueling 26.2 mile course and battling up Heartbreak Hill.
The 10 runners each committed to raising $7,500 for Charity Runners and $1,000 for Registered Runners, all of which goes to the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation.
As they hit the pavement to raise money for a great cause, Rob, Papa Gronk and the boys will be cheering them on every step of the way from the streets of Boston.
Think of all the times you’ve cheered on Gronk as he’s hammering in a touch down. This is gonna be WAY more hyped!
Of course, it’s not hard to spot the Gronk crew even in the crowds of thousands down at the marathon route — just look for the brightly-colored Zubaz in the crowd.
Not running? No problem. You can learn how to up your workout and maybe train for next year by visiting the Dan and Gordie Jr. Gronkowski at the Gronk Fitness booth at Boston’s Hynes Convention Center on Boylston Street.
Who knows — maybe No. 87 will be putting you through your paces …
The Gronk Nation Youth Foundation organization is dedicated to inspiring and supporting our youth to reach their maximum potential by empowering them to be positively involved in sports, community activities, education, and fitness.
