Tom Brady Is Shaken, Not Stirred in New Special Edition Aston Martin
Posted by: Gronkowski
Just call him Brady, Tom Brady.
While Brady will sadly never get to play James Bond on the big screen -- failing to have the prerequisite British accent and with his acting skills admittedly lacking – he definitely looks the part with the new Aston Martin Tom Brady Signature Edition car.
The same Vanquish S Volante convertible model that 007 chases international criminals and picks up hot women in is now available with Brady's personal touches for $359,950. Yep, that’s the same price of family house in many states.
You’d better be quick though, as there are only 12 – we wonder how they came up with that number – vehicles hitting the market.
"We started with a blank canvas and finished with a beautiful car," Brady said in a pitch statement for the sweet wheels, according to ESPN. "It's been great to see it all come to fruition."
TB12 signed a deal with Aston Martin last May, and while the best quarterback in the NFL might seem like a strange fit for the very British company, chief creative officer Marek Reichman explained to ESPN why it was a perfect fit.
"This car touches people through a voice in Tom that they understand," Reichman said. "He speaks English in an American's English, and he's telling the world why he loves our product. It's as simple as that."
While Aston Martin’s relationship with the Patriots is relatively new, the luxury car has had ties to 007 for decades, with different models being seen in films including “Goldfinger,” “Thunderball,” “Golden Eye” “Casino Royale,” “Skyfall” and “Spectre.”
The Aston Martin’s first appearance came in 1964’s “Goldfinger,” as Sean Connery upped his suave Scottish swagger by driving a DB5. Flash forward nearly 50 years, and Daniel Craig’s Bond sped around in a souped up version of the classic DB5 in “Skyfall.”
As for Brady, we hear that he doesn’t actually get given a Vanquish S Volante as part of his deal, but we’re sure he can afford it with his Patriots paycheck (or get Gisele to buy him one for Christmas).
What we really want to know is how do we get a pimped-out Aston Martin Gronk Party Bus? Now that would give tailgating a real extra dash of class!
