Gronk Coaches Future Patriots Players at His Youth Football Clinic - and Teaches Them New Dance Moves!

Posted by: Gronkowski

No matter how busy you were this 6/9 weekend, we guarantee you didn't fit as much in as the Gronkowski boys!

We all saw Gronk losing his mind when Gronkowski the Horse came in second in the Belmont Stakes, but did you know that he also spent Saturday morning and all of Sunday hosting his sixth annual Youth Football Clinic in Woburn, Massachusetts?

Rob, Papa Gronk, brothers Gordie Jr., Dan and Glenn, along with BFF Orlando hung out with a bunch of future Patriots players at the two-day clinic, which was presented by Citi, Perfectly Free Fruit Bites, Tide, and  Shaw's and Star Market.

The guys were all hands-on coaching the 600 kids -- who had a blast, to say the very least! -- as he ran drills with them and sprinted up and down the high school field with his signature boundless energy like an excited puppy.

After one touchdown, he catapulted the ball into the stands instead of doing his signature Gronk Spike.

"It’s fun coming out here, putting the kids through the football drills, and playing games with them," Rob told the Boston Herald. "It’s also great having my brothers out there, my family, my friends, just having a blast. It’s fun to do, and teach the kids to be active."

While all the kids were winners, four of them were crowned the "Perfectly Free Fruit Bites Champions of the Day" and got to pose for a special photo with the big fella.

Huge Gronk-sized congratulations to Cooper, Myles, Max and William -- we look forward to seeing you play at Gillette Stadium one day!

While there were so many special moments, the comedy highlight of the day was little bro Glenn, a.k.a. Goose, getting dropped into the Perfectly Free Fruit Bites dunk tank.

Luckily he took the soaking like a good sport, he's gone through NFL rookie hazing after all.

After all that cardio, the kids and the Gronkowskis all refueled on Perfectly Free Fruit Bites, which look like candy but are actually whole, real fruit puree wrapped in a grape-like skin.

Of course, Gronk is just as famous for his epic dance moves as his monster touchdown catches, so he shared those skills with the kids in a group dance-off.

We think he might have learned some new skills from them too, though -- are we going to see Gronk doing the Flosser in the end zone next season???

Aside from a first-hand lesson in football from the best tight end in history, the clinic participants also got:

  • a souvenir autograph from Rob Gronkowski
  • a clinic team photo with Rob Gronkowski
  • a limited-edition Rob Gronkowski Football Clinic t-shirt

A portion of the proceeds went to the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation.
