Help Gronk Smash the Honey Nut Cheerios Good Rewards Challenge Against Michael B. Jordan and Lucy Hale

Posted by: Gronkowski

While NFL defenses have no hope against Gronk on the field, our boy has taken on new challengers from Hollywood – “Black Panther” star Michael B. Jordan and “Pretty Little Liars” actress Lucy Hale – in a bitter cereal battle.

Yes, we said cereal … Honey Nut Cheerios to be exact.

The trio are all competing in the Good Rewards program from General Mills that pits them against each other to raise money for their favorite charities. Rob’s, of course, is the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation, which was founded in 2013 by him and his family to give back to the community to ensure that young people of all economic backgrounds enjoy the opportunities that they had.

The Foundation is dedicated to inspiring youth to reach their maximum potential through sports, education, community and fitness. Its mission is to help kids stay actively involved in school and sports, and provide them with tools they need to help them follow their dreams and live happy, more successful lives.

"Growing up, I was lucky to have all the tools and support of my family to play sports, which opened up a lot of doors for me," Gronk says of the inspiration behind the Foundation. "I want to make sure other kids have that same opportunity to be involved in sports so they can be successful through athletics and school.

"It's something I'm very passionate about, so I'm glad that I can support local youth sports in the New England area and help kids live their dreams."

Launched earlier this month, Good Rewards is a fun, interactive, family-friendly program meant to encourage people to pay it forward by collecting Buzzcoin -- a digital game currency located on the back of boxes of Honey Nut Cheerios -- for their team.

At the end of the competition, the team that earns the most Buzzcoin will win $100,000 for their charity, courtesy of Honey Nut Cheerios. The 2nd place winner will receive a $50,000 donation and the 3rd place winner will receive $25,000.

Good Rewards runs now until April 2019, so get chowing down on Cheerios and collect Buzzcoin for Team Gronk, which is currently lagging at third place but is just gearing up for a fourth-quarter comeback. Be like Gronk and make your Honey Nuts with non-dairy Almond milk to protein-up before a work out.

"I grew up in Buffalo, where Cheerios are made," Gronkowski said. "So every time we went to downtown Buffalo for a sporting event, we could smell the Cheerios in the air. So now, being on the box of Honey Nut Cheerios is surreal and totally brings back all those fun childhood memories."
