Patriots Roll Past the Titans, Gronk and Amendola Bro It Out

Posted by: Gronkowski

And we’re on the AFC Championship – again.

Even though they were heavy favorites over the Tennessee Titans for the Divisional Round of the playoffs, no game is a gimme and the Pats brought the heavy artillery on Saturday night.

While they got off to a slow start going 0-7, they soon picked up steam partly thanks to the little engine that could, Dion Lewis, who had 15 carries and 62 yards.

Gronk also had himself a post-season party, boasting six receptions for 81 yards and one very seemingly easy touchdown.

The Titans went to extra effort in the days before going to New England to try to contain Gronkowski … but it clearly didn’t work. All Pro safety Kevin Byard was assigned the massive task of containing Rob, but even he wasn’t up to the job.

Along with his stellar teamwork on the field, Gronk had the biggest bro moment of the game when he lent his massive padded coat to Danny Amendola on the sidelines, as poor Number 80 was shivering in just his jersey.

Rob wrapped Danny in a huge bear hug to keep him warm, and the cute move was captured on Twitter. If you’ve not been lucky enough to experience a Gronk hug – they’re the best!

“He’s Danny ‘Playoff’ Amendola,” Gronkowski said of his cuddle buddy’s 11 receptions for 112 yards.

And with the Jaguars' mammoth 45-42 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers (marking the second time they've walloped them at Heinz Field this season), the Pats face Jacksonville next Sunday in the AFC Championship game.

In the meantime, watch all of Gronk's highlights in the video below.
