Patriots Take on the Titans to Kick Off Their Post-Season - Find Out How You Can Be There!

Remember the Titans?

That term is going to mean something very different for Patriots fans after this weekend when New England takes on Tennessee in the Divisional Round game of the playoffs at Gillette Stadium.

And you know who's most fired up about it? Gronk! After missing the playoffs last year following back surgery, he couldn't be more hyped.

“It’s my first playoff game in a while,” Rob told the media on Tuesday, “So I’m excited, man.” Yep, so are we Rob.

But despite all that excitement bubbling over, it's business as usual in Foxboro, as Bill Belichick bluntly told reporters when asked about the recent white noise surrounding the Patriots: "We've dealt with some non-Tennessee subjects here over the last few days. At this point I'm all in on Tennessee."

We couldn't put it better ourselves.

Saturday will mark the 42nd time the Pats and the Titans -- formerly the Houston Oilers have played each other since 1960. They've met twice in the post-season before with the Oilers winning 31-14 in 1978, then in 2003, the Pats beat the Titans 17-14.

New England leads the overall series, 24-16-1 and owns an 12-3 record against the Titans franchise since 1981, according to Patriots.com, and the last time they played was in 2015 when the Pats won 33-16 at Gillette.

But enough of history -- this is 2018 and 40-year-old Tom Brady is taking on 24-year-old Marcus Mariota. The 16 year age gap is not the only thing separating the two QBs -- Saturday will mark Brady's 35th playoff game, while Mariota is heading into his second after beating Kansas City last week.

Mariota is well aware of the differences, saying of Brady, "he's been the best. He's been the best for quite some time. For a young guy like me, that's what you aspire to be. That's what you want to do -- be consistently good and win consistently," he said, ESPN reported. "I think he's done an incredible job through his career of making plays and being that guy that they need. Hopefully, through my time, I can do some of the same stuff."

Despite the Pats' seemingly huge advantage on paper, they well know that no game and no team should ever be overlooked -- especially in the post-season.
